Springfield Services and Narnia – Important Update

We have just taken the difficult decision to cancel the services at St Paul’s and Wallington Girls this Sunday.

We have done so for a number of reasons.

For St Paul’s we have done so because the heating is broken and although they were expecting it to be repaired this week this hasn’t happened!

At Wallington Girls the school has been closed all week. The car parks won’t be cleared or the entrance. At the maximum they could give us a semi-heated hall. We felt that this would make it difficult for people and potentially hazardous in parking cars and the potential for slipping.

Bill Garry, Sue Bosley and I have therefore taken the decision to cancel the service on Sunday and allow people time to get to the cinema for the Narnia showing without feeling stressed – which remains on.

So, on Sunday there are no church services but we are still having our community event to Narnia and nothing in the forecast looks like causing that to be cancelled.

Update Saturday 4th December

We only have tickets available for the 1pm viewing. You can make a booking up to 10am tomorrow morning on the Springfield Website. After that it will need to be in person at the Sutton cinema before the viewing at the Springfield desk.
