Well we’ve all arrived safe and sound at Lake Nakuru at out hotel of Gracelands.
It’s been a long journey – some 19 hours or so door to door. We had an hour’s delay sitting on the plane but otherwise it has all gone smoothly. Andrew was waiting for us at the airport. More space than last time on the bus (yipee) as they put most of the luggage on the roof. The driver was one of the sane ones (though over-taking and undertaking still interesting)
As you can imagine the weather is a bit different and it is definitely shorts and t-shirt weather.
We have already seen some herds of zebra and tribes of baboons at the side of the road. Lots of excitement in the party.
Just had a late lunch (4pm Kenya time) and all feeling rather dozy!
We’re off early tomorrow for a safari trip round Lake Nakuru, should be really great.
Most of the pictures below are at our stop looking out over the Rift Valley (amazing views). Some hard bartering done at the side of the road for some gifts!
Just updated with more pics!
