Bain family blog: Lucy sick

We got up yesterday morning ready to go to the RUSH meeting in town. en-route we stopped off at the school to check on Lucy’s sick cow. As the cow is an important milk source for the children at the school, Lucy is understandably very worried. Unfortunately it is no better.

We got to spend some more time with the children which is always good! We arrived at the RUSH meeting and spent the morning meeting new faces, hearing their stories and worshipping with them, oh and taking their photos, they all love to have their photos taken and then look at them back on the screen.

Afterwards, we walked further into town to get the girls hair braided, which looks great. On returning home we had a power cut so had dinner by candle light and an early night. X

Urgent Prayer request:

Lucy has come down with malaria & pneumonia & is very sick. She went to the hospital yesterday (it is VERY different from the UK hospitals) and has started treatment but is very unwell. She came home on a drip last night & has gone back this morning but she has at least three days of hospital treatment. Do please pray for her health and well-being.

Dear Lee, Ellis, Marnie, Tierney and Cerys,
It is fantasic reading about your amazing experiences and I am so looking forward to hearing all the stories and seeing the photos when you get back- prepare for an assembly request!!!
I will especially be praying for Lucy to be well again and meantime that others will be able to fill in for her.
I am also very much praying for you as a family that you may continue to know God’s presence and closeness there in Kenya.
Give the children at Rush a huge big smile and hug from me!
    Thinking of you lots,
    Liz Brailsford
