Many of you know that Andrew (pictured here with his daughter), from RUSH Kenya, is over to stay in the UK for a check up. We stayed with him and his family for two weeks last month and an amazing time it was.
He had major surgery last year for cancer (his Kenyan doctors rated his chances at about 2%) which was very successful. You can read the story here.
He booked in for a month in case his follow-up appointment meant that he needed further treatment. He arrived last Tuesday with a lump on his stomach. The surgeon had a look and said it was an abscess on his stitches and punctured it there and then (through the stomach – yuk!).
He had scans last Friday and the follow up today.
I have just spoken to him and the doctors have given him the “all clear”! God is good!
I have to say that we have been more worried than him but this is great news and ensures that he can continue the great work God has set before him in Kakamega.
