RUSH worship – here we come

RUSH - Kakamega - Water pump

I was given a 40 minute DVD today of worship at RUSH in Kakamega in Kenya where a group of us are off to on the 12th February. I thought it would be fun to show you a clip of what we are going to experience.

The clip is only 8 minutes long. I’ve been told that they love their services. They have also asked me to preach and a preach there is 45 mins to an hour (besides an hour’s teaching and the worship and the prayers). So to those who think I already preach for too long be afraid. Be very afraid!

Anyway here is some of what we are looking forward to. Enjoy. I love the enthusiasm. Watch out for the conga out and around the church!

Brilliant! I’m going to feel a bit daft standing up the front and singing to them when they just do it all so much better! 🙂

David, brilliant – I’ve put you down for leading the Conga this sunday!

Harvey, we have all age this sunday – just get up the front and practise the actions this sunday and you’ll soon feel at home!!

You do know there are some closet dancers in your congregation don’t you? It just takes a couple of people to start and who knows what might happen?

I challenge BOTH Springfield congregations to do the Conga at some point over the next month! I think an ideal accompanying song would be either ‘We are marching’ or ‘God You’re amazing’, with full-on African rhythm!! But I am a bass player after all 😉
Harvey/Rosie, please bring some of their songs back with you 🙂
