Making space for Christmas

Prayer, candle, bible

Praying Quietly

One of the great dangers of Christmas is its busy-ness. We run round buying presents, preparing the meal plans. Decorating the house or flat. Deciding who we will be seeing (and not seeing). Running off to nativity plays, carol services and the like.

But often we don’t pause to reflect. To consider the needs of others. Those for whom Christmas heightens their sense of loneliness. To remember God coming as man with man to dwell.

So to start this Christmas off focussing on God we are having a chilled out week of prayer from the 6th to the 10th December. There will be no sign ups, no emails, no pressure. But if you would like to take an hour out in peace to come into God’s presence then the church centre is available. Outside office hours contact the centre to organise a key – contact details on the Church website

There will be space, some resources to help you pray – and that is it.
