Since we launched the new Springfield website we have slowly been making incremental changes to it. I wanted to share with you some of the changes and some of the things about it that you may not have noticed. Some of these have come about due to user request

Building a new website….

Well, our new website went live on Tuesday evening. I didn’t really realise when I started it how much effort was required to start something like this from scratch.

Well one of our background tasks over the past few months has been working on a new Springfield Church website. We wanted to be able to have more flexibility of layout and content than we have had up to now.

Most of you know that in my heart that I am a geek. Well, my latest bit of technology has been a Tablet – in fact a Blackberry Playbook (a combined present from my long-suffering family!). I have been using it for about a month now and thought a review was now in order.

Great clip of two chatbox robots having a conversation together. Loved the fact that when they get onto God they start to argue! These are Artificial Intelligence computer programmes that learn from real people and therefore and displaying types of behaviour that they have “learnt” from human interaction!

Our Church SALT Magazine is now online

Having only produced paper versions of our Church magazine we have decided to publish parts of it online.

You can find it at http://salt.springfieldchurch.org.uk/

The magazine is published 5 times a year and in its paper version is normally about 36 pages. As we get used to it the online version will obviously have more links etc that we can embed within it. Hope to add a few more stories as we have time this week.
