Well what a great AGM last Sunday proved to be for Springfield. I know that many AGM’s can be dull as ditch-water but I love how people are able to celebrate the life of Springfield together with humorous songs by Nigel and Harvey(see Harvey’s below), testimony, humour (well done David – I do think that he could win humorous Treasurer of the year) and thanking Jim Dimmock as he steps down as one of the setup co-ordinators having done it for twenty years!! We also celebrated with our 20th anniversary Birthday cake. All this whilst also doing the legalities that we need to do such as receive reports, look at the finances, hold elections.
One rather surprising element this year was the lack of a single question regarding the reports and finances! it may make life easier for me but I’m not sure how good that is for the health of an organisation (see my last post!). I know that more preparation is put in and that reports were made available earlier this year; but that may be part of the problem as I suspect lots of people forgot to bring them with them. Maybe we should have written questions being able to be submitted as well next year?
Anyway after massive public request (well at least one person anyway!!) here is Harvey’s songs about life at Springfield (he wasn’t able to be there on Sunday and so we recorded it).
Also, some pictures of the day (thanks to Tim Samuel)
(Usual tip: click on a picture to see them larger and start a slideshow)

Thanks Will, love the songs and I am sure the rest was just as entertaining.
No questions on finances coz Helen was unable to be there!
humorous Treasurer of the year? I’d rather everyone gave more then I could apply for Happiest Treasurer of the Year!
It wasn’t just Helen not there! There were other stalwarts who weren’t there such as Maggie.
David, until people give more you’ll have to settle for humorous!!!!
